Finished 13th in a high quality Scottish cross country championships last weekend in Falkirk. Had hoped for better since I have finished 4th in each of the last two times this annual race has been held. Think the high mileage of training for the London Marathon and resulting lack of speed sessions did not help. Still did enough to contribute to a team win for Shettleston Harriers which was only the second time we have won the impressive trophy in the last 30 years. Have one more sprint around parkland this winter in a couple of weeks in the British Inter Counties championship where I have been picked to run for a strong Scotland West team.
