Last week I competed in the World University Orienteering Championships along with inov-8 team mate Graham Gristwood and the rest of the Great Britain team.
The competition was held in Borlange, Sweden and the programme included Sprint, Middle, Long and Relay. I had chosen to skip the Long in order to focus on the Sprint, Middle and Relay - a great decision as the next day I managed to win a SILVER medal in the sprint race only 8 seconds behind the winner, Jerker Lysell (Sweden). Graham finished in 12th position after a mistake near the end of the course.

Unfortunately, I could not participate in the Middle and Relay as I took an allergic reaction to something (I think it was the sunflower that I got at the Sprint race prize-giving !) and I could hardly see!
Next up - World Orienteering Championships in Trondheim (Norway) 8-15th August where i will run Sprint, Long and Relay. Follow progress at: www.woc2010.com
